2013 has been a huge year for Satin Jackets, one of Germany’s most notable indie dance protagonists.

Satin Jackets and Sydney based singer KLP have joined forces on this one. They met in Berlin and performed together at Oval Space in London, this first collaboration was their logical next step. ‘For Days’ has that lush production that has characterized Satin Jackets for quite some time now. Exquisite harmonies combined with the dreamy vocals from KLP define this cutting edge indie dance gem that has masterful melodies and stripped-back ambience throughout. The release is topped off by the laid back slo-mo vintage burner ‘Night Keys’ to put you into that late-night cruising mood.

Following the very well-received ‘You Make Me Feel Good’ and ‘Olivia’ (taken from The Pink Collection), ‘For Days’ marks the third Satin Jackets release on Eskimo this year.

As premiered by Majestic Casual, GRADES' remix of Brandy's classic R&B anthem 'I Wanna Be Down' is the first bootleg in a series to be released online. Brandy’s original version of ‘I Wanna Be Down’ was a defining hit of the Nineties R&B when it was first released in 1994. The track topped Billboard’s Hot R&B / Hip-Hop Songs chart and reached #6 on Billboard Hot 100. 

“I was born in the Nineties and grew up in the Nineties listening to a lot of that style of R&B which was a big influence on me,” says G R A D E S. “It’s a song I love to play in my DJ sets and always goes down really well, so I wanted to put a modern spin on an old classic.”

I didn't understand it at the time. I fail to achieve any degree of understanding in the ensuing years, which are three in number. I presume Herb means that inherently you cannot be commercial and artistic. You cannot be commercial and quality. You cannot be commercial concurrent with have a preoccupation with the level of storytelling that you want to achieve. And this I have to reject. This is the area I know. But I think innate in what Herb says is the suggestion made by many people that you can't have public acceptance and still be artistic. And, as I said, I have to reject that.
