German deep house professor LEXER was on our list for a possible remix since quite a while. We're following his music carefully and so we're happy that we could get him on board to give it a try. His remix takes a more melancholic direction: He added some organ pads and organic textures to his remix as well as he re-arranged the vocals in a very special kind of way that gives the track a fresh and different musical suit.

Nora En Pure - True (Lexer Remix)

LA-based @Fei-Fei builds layer upon layer of sonic wow to create her own brand of progressive musical magic. Taken from her debut album, i-D are super pleased to present the premiere of the catchy, feel-good, Back To You (released 30th September).

"Back To You is a funky lil' twist on one of my favorite Mario tunes. I grew up listening to a ton of R&B, hip-hop, alternative, indie and classical so there's a little bit of everything influencing the album," she tells us. 

Using the album as a sort of therapy, creating it helped Fei-Fei work through a lot of emotions. "This is my first album and I'm terribly excited and scared at the same time. It's a side of me people haven't seen yet - and that makes me feel extremely vulnerable. I was going through a lot of personal stuff when I wrote these tunes, struggling to find myself and who I was as an artist.  I almost didn't release any of it, because some of it is so weird, expressive, introspective and so real to me. But I'd much rather take a risk and fail miserably then play it safe and sound exactly like everyone else."
