Pedro Frederico was born in Porto, Portugal.He realized, at an early age that music would play a huge role in his life. He attended the Oporto´s Conservatory for Music and obtained a degree in classical guitar. Pedro’s interest in electronic music developed later, which grew to the point of taking it to the decks. Neonlogic is the result of that passion. He has played in many diverse clubs, venues, and festivals in Portugal and Spain.

His production credits include sound design and ambient music for several exhibitions, contemporary media, and architectural projects. He digs deep to find unique tracks and to create thoughtful and memorable mixes that set a distinctive mood.

Q&A:

Q:
Since your style is so chill-out, what kind of parties do you like playing at?
A: Hi...  Although, I think I can adjust to several venues, parties, and line-ups, I really love playing ambient/chill in an open-air or beach environments and festivals.

Q:
What are you trying to tell people with the music you play? 
A: I'm trying to communicate that people can seriously dance to the deepest electronica, as i do, and chill with a blend of ambient, techno and a diversity of electronic music.  Underground EDM is alive, flourishing and magically living outside of the mainstream.

Q:
What does music mean in your life? 
A: Music is ultra important.  In fact, my cells and body can´t live without it...  I'm constantly listening on the dance floor and behind the decks (often at the same time).  ;)

Q:
What is coming up for neonlogic in 2014? (gigs, production, mixes)
A: I started a few parties here in Porto and they will continue through 2014 and into 2015.  Hopefully, I'll soon start broadcasting some of those on my Neonlogic World Radio streaming station.  Also, my weekly live mix radio show on Dogglounge is also returning soon after August holidays. 

Código, my label with partner Dave Wesley, will continue with deep releases.  The second release is just a few of weeks away.  In terms of production, a new collaboration/release with friend, Albert Borkent (Lingua Lustra, Sol Tek), is coming soon on his label Spiritech

MNMT 52: Neonlogic

Hello! Friends of the Monument.

Our guest for this episode is Luigi Tozzi(@luigitozzi). An Italian based producer with releases on influential labels like Dynamic Reflection and Hypnus Records (Sweden). We could expect to hear more from Luigi in the future as you could read about in the Q&A. On the note of “future”, this mix showcases a futuristic landscape of techno sounds and grooves. A real treat for the mind.

1. Which DJ would you like to share a beer and a conversation with? Why?

Probably with the guys from Northern Electronics, especially with Acronym.
I am paying a lot of attention to their output and like it very much, it's interesting
to me  how they express all a similar mood in their music, but keeping a very distinctive
and individual touch. They are very careful not to unveil too much about themselves, which is something that I respect, but I'd be very curious to know a bit more about their methods and workflow.

2. How do you make your music? And whats up with the deep and sci-fi sound style? 

I make my music with an hybrid setup, I own some analog machines (Ms20 mini/Microbrute and a couple drum machines) but I tend to work and process a lot in the box with Ableton and some plugin bundles. This is the way I will continue to work in my solo project, but in the future I am planning to make a collaboration with a friend here in 
Rome which will be centered only on machines. I think that jamming and arranging live can be very stimulating for creativity and I'm very looking forward to give it a try.

3. What's happening in the future? (releases, gigs etc)

A lot is happening in the next months, with Hypnus we will release a LP with great artists (such as Cassegrain,Ness, Svreca, Mike Parker, Alan Backdrop, Orphx, Cio d'Or and Edit Select) remixing our works from the past year.This will be released in January and in the following months I already have three solo releases confirmed and some remixes. Also I am very excited about starting to work on a live set, I know this won't be easy and will take some time but it's an objective I have fixed as a goal for 2015.

4. Any words to the people out there mesmerized by your sound? 

No I'll just take the chance to say THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting what I am doing, I would have never expected my first two releases to go out of stock that fast and I am very grateful for this.

MNMT 62: Luigi Tozzi

I came across Amandra and his work through a brilliant release on his Ahrpe records. "Ovend - Marathon" and it opened a door to some consistently high quality music from that avenue. His new double EP "Drachme Tolosate" is an embodiment of that consistency, on a vinyl there are normally tracks you think are a bit so-so, especially on a double. But not on this one. Consistency sets genius apart from talent and this mix offers more of the same. Atmospheric, warm and dark all at the same time with Amandra's own brand of energy layered on top.

For techno in Amsterdam, few do it better than Sandrien. The Dutch native has been collecting records in her hometown for the best part of two decades, and became a staple of the city’s underground scene through MAD2 – the club night she ran with friend Carlos Valdes. Building on the success of MAD2 she went onto establish Imprint – the night she’s best known for – which she ran at the much-loved Trouw club up until its closure at the beginning of 2015. In the years since she’s been playing out increasingly beyond the Dutch capital, with 2017 seeing her tour Asia and stop off in Berlin for regular appearances. This rise in popularity is a real testament to her prowess as a selector.

On 14th October she makes her Farringdon debut, so we didn’t hesitate in inviting her to record a mix for us to introduce herself. For her mix, she dropped a carefully-curated selection of ambient, IDM, broken beats and techno, before discussing her record digging habits and the scene in her hometown.

The 24th edition of the Patterns of Perception mix series comes from the Australian duo @albrecht-labrooy. Hailing from Melbourne, Alex Albrecht and Sean La'Brooy form a unique live act – one that’s often improvised and takes inspiration from the performances of the jazz greats. Inspired by a recent visit to Berlin and the organic techno sounds they encountered, their slow-building yet captivating contribution to our mix series is a fully improvised live set recorded in a single take.

BIO:
He is an artist focused on deep, rich in detail varieties of techno and ambient music and experimental. Connected with internationally recognized record labels.In her artistic work she uses various experimental techniques, including work with personally designed modular synthesizers. Currently one of the most recognizable characters on the techno music scene in Poland. 

He presented his music, giving concerts during festivals in Poland (including Unsound, Up To Date Festival, Warsaw Music Week, Audioriver, Warsaw Electronic Festival, etc.), as well as abroad (China, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Lithuania ), and during countless cultural events in music clubs and cultural institutions.

Michał Wolski's work powers catalogs of such international publications as, for example: Nonplus Rec., Eerie Rec., Semantica Rec., Technosoul, Recognition Rec., Blank Slate Rec., International Day Off Rec., Lost In Ether Rec., Silent Season Rec. and others. 

Journalist and publisher. The creator of the music publishing house Minicromusic Rec., dedicated to music techno with an emphasis on its atmospheric variations. Co-author of a radio program dedicated to electronic music "Fünfte Strasse", broadcasted continually from 2010 on Radio Kampus.
