Pedro Frederico was born in Porto, Portugal.He realized, at an early age that music would play a huge role in his life. He attended the Oporto´s Conservatory for Music and obtained a degree in classical guitar. Pedro’s interest in electronic music developed later, which grew to the point of taking it to the decks. Neonlogic is the result of that passion. He has played in many diverse clubs, venues, and festivals in Portugal and Spain.

His production credits include sound design and ambient music for several exhibitions, contemporary media, and architectural projects. He digs deep to find unique tracks and to create thoughtful and memorable mixes that set a distinctive mood.

Q:
Since your style is so chill-out, what kind of parties do you like playing at?
A: Hi...  Although, I think I can adjust to several venues, parties, and line-ups, I really love playing ambient/chill in an open-air or beach environments and festivals.

Q:
What are you trying to tell people with the music you play? 
A: I'm trying to communicate that people can seriously dance to the deepest electronica, as i do, and chill with a blend of ambient, techno and a diversity of electronic music.  Underground EDM is alive, flourishing and magically living outside of the mainstream.

Q:
What does music mean in your life? 
A: Music is ultra important.  In fact, my cells and body can´t live without it...  I'm constantly listening on the dance floor and behind the decks (often at the same time).  ;)

Q:
What is coming up for neonlogic in 2014? (gigs, production, mixes)
A: I started a few parties here in Porto and they will continue through 2014 and into 2015.  Hopefully, I'll soon start broadcasting some of those on my Neonlogic World Radio streaming station.  Also, my weekly live mix radio show on Dogglounge is also returning soon after August holidays. 

Código, my label with partner Dave Wesley, will continue with deep releases.  The second release is just a few of weeks away.  In terms of production, a new collaboration/release with friend, Albert Borkent (Lingua Lustra, Sol Tek), is coming soon on his label Spiritech

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast. Happy new year to everyone. 2016 promises to be big, and to kick off in tremendous fashion we play host to one of Italy's most exciting electronic artists at the moment, Alfredo Mazzilli.

Alfredo was born in Southern Italy. Knowing and working with different organizations in Puglia, he played with some big artists, like Rodhad, Redshape, Tadeo and Unbalance.

In 2013, he joined with "Ways", organization, a party in the southern Italy. He became a resident, and had the privilege  and the opportunity to perform with famous artists including:

Svreca, Francois X, Dj Skirt, MAX_M, Dino Sabatini and Hiver.

Alfredo has been mastering his craft in the studio over the past few years and his productions have been released on Planet Rhythm, Edit Select, Silent Season, Blankstairs and Truth Or Consequences.

I came across Amandra and his work through a brilliant release on his Ahrpe records. "Ovend - Marathon" and it opened a door to some consistently high quality music from that avenue. His new double EP "Drachme Tolosate" is an embodiment of that consistency, on a vinyl there are normally tracks you think are a bit so-so, especially on a double. But not on this one. Consistency sets genius apart from talent and this mix offers more of the same. Atmospheric, warm and dark all at the same time with Amandra's own brand of energy layered on top.

Deeply influenced by True Deep house from artists like Manuel Gottsching, Moritz Von Oswald, and Basic Channel, Iori started his musical career in Naha, Okinawa in the late 90′s. He went to New York in 2003, and later on headed back to Japan after serving as a project coordinator for The Loft under David Mancuso. Characterised by the heavy and bouncy rhythms , grand atmospheric synth layers, Iori has already established his unique sound in the European techno and house circuit. Iori has released 2 studio albums and numerous EPs on the labels such as Semantica Records, Prologue, Bitta, etc..

Iori’s mix for Bassiani Podcast begins with moody, atmospheric tracks like  “Movement Strobe 1” from BLNDR and “Cursor Items Only” by Tobias . Throughout, the vibe deepens across a long run of dynamic, energetic tunes , such as “Billingsella”, an acid bomb of Roberto & Jamie Anderson. Along the way, we get a lot of twists and turns, without leaving a whole contect of the mix, and the final part climax with a powerful techno records as a dessert. The result is a thrilling, trippy adventure from start to finish.

With his solo project @Cyspe, Robin Koek of @Artefakt-official paints deep, electronic atmospheres inspired by nature, cybernetics and architecture.

This podcast is a very personal voyage through Cyspe's record collection, moving from charged drone atmospheres, old tape experiments and dissonant voices into the ‘braindance’ works and melancholy of the early 90s, slowly diverging into early Japanese minimal techno and modern syncopations: a full spectrum eclectic journey that is crafted to resonate within the body, the mind and the all-encompassing spirit.

It comes in the lead-up to Cyspe's first live set at Patterns of Perception, on 22 September 2017 at OHM Berlin.

For techno in Amsterdam, few do it better than Sandrien. The Dutch native has been collecting records in her hometown for the best part of two decades, and became a staple of the city’s underground scene through MAD2 – the club night she ran with friend Carlos Valdes. Building on the success of MAD2 she went onto establish Imprint – the night she’s best known for – which she ran at the much-loved Trouw club up until its closure at the beginning of 2015. In the years since she’s been playing out increasingly beyond the Dutch capital, with 2017 seeing her tour Asia and stop off in Berlin for regular appearances. This rise in popularity is a real testament to her prowess as a selector.

On 14th October she makes her Farringdon debut, so we didn’t hesitate in inviting her to record a mix for us to introduce herself. For her mix, she dropped a carefully-curated selection of ambient, IDM, broken beats and techno, before discussing her record digging habits and the scene in her hometown.

One of the most exciting talents to have emerged out of Italy’s techno scene in recent years, Serena Butler has released on @marco_shuttle’s @eerie-records, @konstrukt-5 and on the new imprint Bene Tleilax, of which she is one of the founding members.

As defiant of genre categorisations as of gender binaries, Serena’s work as a DJ and producer draws energy from the concepts of a post-humanity and post-gender future. Fittingly, it conforms to few expectations.

This selection builds on diverse musical sources to project a futuristic vision of dark and light, shadow and sight.
