Fred Neil wrote this song, originally titled "The Other Side Of This Life". It was included on his 1965 album "Bleecker And Macdougal" and has been recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary, the Lovin' Spoonful, the Youngbloods, and, most famously, the Jefferson Airplane, as well as by Melanie who in '75 recorded this version that has come to be known as Another Side. but was never released. Original lyrics:
