Chuggin Edits is back with a seriously catchy re-edit, familiar to many from the sub sub track ‘Ain’t no Use’ it’s recently picked up by Craig Charles and has been used as the intro to his Funk & Soul show on BBC 6 music.
The Sub Sub track itself used a sample from a 1979 Disco track Good Morning Starshine which itself was a cover of the iconic 60's track from the stage production of Hair and originally sung by Jill O’Hara and the company, it was also a US top 10  hit by solo artist Oliver, listen to the tracks and you’d never guess they are going to influence a new edit in 2020 no less a dance hit of the 1990s.
So back to 1979 towards the end of Disco’s peak New York producer Walter Schatz put together a four-track album called Disco Spectacular, inspired by the movie version of Hair and featuring a singer who started out with a six week run on the broadway production Vickie Sue Robinson, famed for 1976 grammy nominated song Turn the Beat Around, Vickie was heard singing in a studio by Walter and rightly believing she had a voice suited to disco, they went on to produce music together off and on until the mid-eighties.

He has worked alongside reputable DJs such as Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, Boy George, David Morales, Dennis Ferrer, Norman Doray, Quintino, Danny Rampling, Supernova, Bottin, Late Nite Tuff Guy and Faze Action —just to name a few. As a producer, he has released tracks on labels all around the world, namely ‘Large Records’ (Chicago) and ‘Seven Music’ (Ireland) Chronovision (Ibiza);  Today, Stephen continues to spread his love of underground music all over the world!
