Still Life With Dead Nature(DAGORA)

78 R.P.M. is a five piece ambient-drone-noise project inspired by the oftentimes haunting sounds and atmospheres of early 20th century delta blues recordings.

Through stripped-down guitar and bass patterns with minimal electronics 78 R.P.M. create desolate soundscapes followed by electric storms of droning noise.

Stephen Doyle is a drummer, living and working in Amsterdam. His sounds are part of the creations of Dagora, 78rpm, Dragons/Doyle aswell his occasional duos with Lisa Simpson(Agente Costura) and Aonghus McEvoy(of Woven Skull). As a drummer he combines the meditative effects of repetition with the refined skill of a misspent punk youth. This allows for a playful embrace of chaotic spontaneity to overlap with an artistic curiosity about the acoustic potential of space and architecture. He has toured throughout Europe and beyond, occasionally combining musical adventures with his parallel occupation as carpenter and designer.
