Every week on the Mid Week Peak with Steve we share an extract of a book as read by the author. Our aim: to get these authors noticed by you, and give you something new to read.

#365MidWeekPeak Writers Seat - Week 1

Week two of the Mid-Week Peak Writers Seat and author David DeWinter takes the seat - a passionate writer who has built up a collection of dark fiction that he describes as "Tales of Horror, Humour and the messy bits in between" .

His website - www.daviddewinter.com - has a collection of short stories across different genres: 'In the Lavender Sea', and 'Escaping Aber-Where' are just two of a few that have gathered readers and feedback aplenty. 'Immortal Lust' is now available on audio and the link is contained within the story.

Some works are also now part of recently published anthologies featuring many varied writers, details of which are on his site. 

The series 'Proactive Square', split into several parts, details the stories of central characters who are recruited to work in a secret city developed to run a one world economy. The City itself is stuffed full of viciously ambitious people, all run and recruited by four megalomaniacs whose vision and self interest knows no bounds. Dive in and read whatever appeals in the whole saga.

Or for teeny tiny slices, try out the new section entitled Multiverse Mini Bites, they are quick, digestible and will pass straight through you before you've had chance to shout "Stop"!
