Alfonso Ares ha preparado este set exclusivo para Dj Mag. Al frente de Animo Records, plataforma que editará a finales de febrero su tema original, llamado Star Mars feat Ehsan Yadollahi que incluirá un remix de Marco Resmann (Watergate/Upon You).
 
Alfonso está actualmente embarcado en un proyecto internacional con su marca personal. Animo estará presente en la nueva temporada de invierno del paraíso mejicano, música electrónica, espacio natural, sol, playa para un comienzo de año que puede ser épico, se celebrarán cuatro fechas a comienzos de 2022 en Tulum (22 de enero, 12 y 26 de febrero, 12 marzo).

Vagalume Tulum ha querido contar con la presencia de una de las marcas más representativas y más longevas de nuestro país. Es el caso de Animo, que con mas de 20 años de historia a sus espaldas es una de las señas de identidad de la cultura de club de la capital. Será la oportunidad perfecta que Animo muestre todo su potencial y sus últimos lanzamientos, en sus tracklist aparecen nombres como Eric Rose, Martin Eyerer, Darin Epsilon, Kellerkind, Agent!, Mountage o Alfonso Arés, fundador del sello.

Con una escenografía personalizada para Vagalume Tulum, integrando música y una apariencia envolvente de los artistas sobre el escenario, Animo tendrá presencia destacada frente algunas de los principales promotoras de la industria de la música actual. Un pequeño territorio de esculturas cinéticas construidas siempre con maderas simples que se mueven y se adaptan en respuesta a una fuerza casi natural. Animo, apuesta por la creatividad renovada comenzando el año con buen ritmo, creando encuentros de música dance increíbles, emocionantes y siempre curiosos.

Tapski - River [Future Avenue]

From deep, to energetic, to acid.  The energy in the club this night was beyond impactful and inspiring.  The way we all connected and fed off each other as I mixed, and gathered inspiration from the crowd was a feeling like no other.  The memory of this night is the reason I chose to pursue music. trueColors is a deep and melodic record label, and its latest release features remixes from recent EPs by founder Timujin.

Stepping up on remix duty is Roi Okev and Wild Dark who each provide two alternative reworked versions, while Inámo provides a solo remix, and YokoO plus Francesco Mami team up for a stunning collaboration.

YokoO & Francesco Mami open the release with their remix of "Himalayan Way" which builds suspense with dubby sound design and the subversive tones of rippling pads.

Inámo's remix of "Full of Courage" has the contrast of an ominous bassline and floating pads underpinned by chunky percussion and ethereal vocal textures.

Roi Okev provides two reworks of "High Scheherezade", the first of which focuses round the hypnotic tones of a bewitching synth line. His 'Piano Re-Edit' is a more atmospheric version with a delicate piano and haunting vocals.

Wild Dark's first remix is of "Breaking Through the Fog" and it's a heady mix of whirling vocals, pitched tom drums, and dramatic piano chords, which combine to create a trippy track full of intrigue.

Wild Dark also reworks "Full of Courage" into a tribal version with mismanaging atmosphere and a tantalising sense of anticipation as the track unfolds with a vigorous energy.

Stephen came on the scene after attending Lightning In A Bottle festival in 2018, and the rest was history.  After immersing himself in festival and club culture, he began mixing and started a future for himself in the global dance scene.  His mantra is to "follow the music" and everything will fall into place.
