Started in brass bands age 9 but father made go semi pro age 11-16 after winning a solo cornet competition at the Albert halls.  Playing in brass bands is not a paying gig and orchestra,s are not much better. Got disillusioned with the music business after mum died age15 and i was supposed to start a 6 month cruise 2 days later. So i contacted the agent that booked me explaining the situation and asked if i could join the ship a week later after mums funeral. He said if i didn't make the ship i could cancel that gig and every gig he,d booked me for,for the next 2 years. As a very emotional teenager,he got told to fuck off. Dirty buisness music in those days as you are now finding out with all the pedo,s coming to light.  After that i got disillusioned with it and gave up. At the time i was a solo artiste advertising as a multi instrumentalist/vocals. I played trumpet,guitar,sax,clarinet,trombone. My lungs collapsed soon after this{spontaneous pneumothorax} so i cant play any wind instrument for long periods now I play many instruments but particularly enjoy guitar vocals. I read and write music and play any style from classical to prog rock. My greatest joy is making music with other people. The togetherness is a special bond thats unbreakable. The power of a brass band-orchestra-group when the music is tight is a feeling that's very hard to explain. The feeling after coming off stage after a performance and leaving an audience screaming for more is better than any drug ive tried since:}  I love playing live.
Whilst i really enjoy singing im not stupid enough to think my voice is good enough to sing lead.Now im older the voice box is going with all the smoking. I would love to find a singer to collaborate with if there is any out there that fancy a go?
