Well here we go. Another year and another Sunset Campout and again I was honored to play the closing set to wrap up the best party in the world Sunday on the beach. 
I did this one a little different and started with just some of my favorite slower jams and didn't really do much mixing for the first 30 min or so, but I got going after a few tunes and then it was off to the races. 
This one is bitter sweet as we lost our dear friend/brother/musical compatriot, Navid Izadi, one week to the day after this was recorded. 

This is for him.

If you were there then you know how ceaselessly exciting and unpredictable Analog Soul played. A highlight of the festival line up, they maneuvered from techno to "Fascinated" by Company B with ease. With the Funktion1 thumping, entranced by Cloaking's sinister visuals, we danced under the full moon as she sat above the stage.

Jeni grew up in Los Angeles, surrounded by the rich tapestry of the 90s rave scene, which propelled her into the underground of electronic music at the age of 14. In 1997, She made her way up the coast to San Francisco to pursue an art degree. She played disco scenarios of San Francisco for the next decade notably co-founding the party Fistfight, which featured all female line-ups for the clubs and warehouse parties. In 2007, Jeni made her way back down to the city of angels and her contributions to nightlife and underground culture continued. She had a hand in co--founding the now notorious events Dusk, Surround, and Making Shapes.
