Don’t Be Afraid” (Battling Fear) produced by Theory Hazit is the first single off Believin Stephen’s album Battling Unbelief set to release this July. Stephen notes, “When unsettling circumstances come into my life I am prone to doubt and fear. I want to be in control of the situation instead of trusting that God has my best interests in mind”

Through in-depth rapid fire lyricism Stephen explains the remedy for our fear, which is trusting in God’s sovereign control over our lives. After Jesus calmed the winds and waves during a storm he said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” (Mark 4:40)  Believing Jesus is all-powerful and with us in the midst of our storms is the key to battling fear in our lives.

Like the man in Mark 9 we must often cry out to God, "I do believe, please help my unbelief" or to put it positively 'help me believe'. Living in a fallen world we are often prone to doubt due to our lust, guilt, not believing God is who He says he is, the fear of man, and having a temporal view in difficult situations. We must look to the Lord to give us faith during these tough times as He's the one who gives us "strength to press on"

The Brindle brothers, Stephen and Timothy team up on “Battle Unbelief” produced by Big Juice. “Battle Unbelief” is the 3rd single and title track off Stephen’s new album ‘Battling Unbelief’ releasing on July 15. The Brindle’s take the listeners on a  lyrical journey through Hebrews 11 as they share descriptive accounts of how believers of the past in the “hall of faith” battled against unbelief. They ultimately point to Jesus, who successfully battled temptation and endured the cross for us!

Believin Stephen teams up with God Over Money artists Selah the Corner and Bumps INF over a Tony Stone track, with scratches from DJ Average Joe.  On this 4th single off the Battling Unbelief album they talk about hardships they've faced during their lives, the need for endurance in their walks, and how Christ helps them persevere.

At times this walk can get discouraging and it can seem as though the world, the flesh and the devil are defeating us. However, scripture promises us that God began a good work in us and he will bring it to completion! It is crucial that we remember that we have the victory in Christ and that the walk ain’t over yet. We are actually in the preseason here on earth being prepared for the "real season" in heaven where we’ll be perfected, worship Christ forever and have eternal joy!

In 2007, Believin Stephen put out the song “Why Boast?” after noticing a prevalence of rappers boasting on the mic.  After seeing the same trend 5 years later amongst both secular and Christian rappers Stephen felt the need to make “Why Boast Part II?”  In a day in age where hip-hop  is becoming more and more braggadocious and boasting in skills is widely accepted as the norm, Believin Stephen reminds listener’s to strive after humility. After all,  if every good gift comes from God shouldn’t we boast in the giver of that gift and not that gift itself ?!  Knowing that we brought nothing in to the world and contribute nothing to our salvation, Stephen admonishes others to boast in the Lord. This is the second single off The Preseason Mixtape which will be released in late August by Gametime Recordings as a free download.

Who Gets The Glory?

This is the second single from Believin Stephen's "Glory Thieves" album set to drop late in late February. A broken and contrite heart is something that God will not despise according to Psalm 51:17. In the lives of believers throughout redemptive history, God has often broken people down in order to give God the most glory. Over a head nodding Braille beat, Stephen describes many accounts of biblical stories in which things or people are broken in order for God to fulfill His purpose. Braille reminds the listener that God is steadfast and faithful when we undergo trials and seasons of brokenness
