New Evidence

In Greek mythology, the Siren was a beautiful yet dangerous creature. The Sirens lured sailors with their enchanting song, leading them to shipwreck on the island's rocky coast and killing those who fell prey to their song.
As observed by Walter Copland Perry in 1883, "Their song, though irresistibly sweet, was no less sad than sweet, and lapped both body and soul in a fatal lethargy, the forerunner of death and corruption." 
This piece attempts to capture the fascination and danger of this mythical creature.
