A beautiful song telling a story of passionate love between heirs of powerful perfumers Darnelli and Cuttle, who are running close to the wind and into a storm,  setting sail from the River Dart in South West England, aboard the yacht Darnelli Star.

Inspired by a rock formation on a Narragansett beach, the song remembers Chepi, a Native American Indian whose spirit and loving action flows and lives on through generations - inspiring compassion and care for our world despite the genocide inflicted on her tribe.

Sail Close to the Wind/ Kinsale is a Celtic love story and a warning.  It's a dance with the waves and the wild seas;  spirits rise, souls are stirred and rebel hearts beat.  The song warns that without love we are frail and without action we are in danger.

Sail Close To The Wind/Kinsale

71 year old Lili owns a roadside diner in the mid west. She is quiet and reclusive and she rides a Harley Davidson. At weekends she rides off alone, no one knows where, to hunt down perpetrators of online crime and organised abuse.  She researches her victims' obsessions and habits and then carefully plans their "accidental demise".

Written by Stephen Kearney, Eaten is a powerfully voiced, deeply felt response to current political, social and environmental threat and turmoil. Produced while on the road to Womex by the artist, in collaboration with musicians from Italy and UK. 

Impacted from an early age by political protestors, songwriters and musicians from across the globe, this song's musical influences include RL Burnside, Stevie Winwood, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones. A song about the poison of an elitist education that created a culture of greed that damages people, communities and the environment. A son rages at his father about his wealth, greed and the education that was forced on him.

Cracked Rock is a track that warns that if we ignore the attacks on certain groups in society we'll be attacked next.
We have a right to legally live and love in anyway we choose. When we let politicians undermine those rights, we'll all suffer. 
The beauty of the flower, with its solid rootedness breaks the hard rock - an analogy for the cruel politics of the last 10 years.

Cracked Rock

Stephen wrote this song because he's incensed by the way people live their lives unable to reach their potential because of conditioning. He loves  this song. It tells the story of a boy trapped and bleeding desperate to break out. He rejects the pressures exerted on mind and body. He's forced into unhealthy living by an establishment that's rooted in cruel hypocrisy . He delights in his escape and wastes no more time, he won't allow his soul to be hijacked anymore. He's been imprisoned for so many long years.

Here's a bit of Christmas fun before we rock into 2024.
Refound Christmas is a song that celebrates our love for each other, our planet and peace. Slightly tongue in cheek but after years of dis ease: politicians lying their way to power; covid; war; greed and corruption this song celebrates communities, families and the importance of being together at our festive time. A happy song xxx

Stephen A Kearney, a Protest singer with passion and conviction, is "on  a mission to help secure a future for next generations”.  Creating stories and original songs from his roots and his life-long experience in social activism, Stephen's  powerful voice expresses rage and joy - fury and hope - with a clarity that strikes to core, and a sound that crosses genres and generations.  Listen to the pulse get moving, take action, release stagnant energy, love and live!  

Stephen works in close creative collaboration with Italian composer and arranger, Dario Cei from SAM Recording Studio and Pisa Conservatoire Orchestra in Tuscany Italy; with Producer Jon Caffery from Germany, and Co-Producer and partner, Julia Olsen 

After recording together in Samworld Studios In Tuscany, and MusicLan Studio in Catalonia the group have formed an Irish/Italian international partnership.  Drawing on Europe's rich and diverse cultural heritage to inspire their creativity and co-creation, their creative project is about deepening international and professional relationships, and connecting with new audiences through vibrant and engaging performance -  helping to break down boundaries and borders and encouraging cross cultural understanding and co-operative working.   The Album release is 2024. 
The Tour is being planned for 2025/26.
