Today we share with you Module One's perception of Far Blue. Besides putting together very thoughtful mixes, Module One is a stellar producer as well. To build his own very personal story, he decided to go all original on his one hour long Far Blue concept titled 'Lost in Translation'. 

"The title of the mix is inspired by the linguistic phenomenon of losing or changing the context due to differences in languages and cultures, but for me that metaphorically relates to music where every listener has an individual perception and is able to hear the things the others cannot."

Here's a two hour recording from my recent gig at Electric Monday @ KitKat, Berlin. The groove on the dancefloor was full-on already before the midnight and got even more intensive as the night went on. It's been a tremendous amount of work, dedication and love that Frankie Flowerz & Ricardo Rodriguez have been putting on these Monday nights and it's hard to verbalize my happiness and gratitude having been part of one of them ❤️

Questa settimana andiamo in Italia con G&D aka Gino Grasso @ginofunkgrasso & Dino Angioletti @dinoangioletti 🇮🇹 

Long time collectors, DJ's and producers, Gino and Dino initially made their mark on the scene with a residency at Kinki club in Bologna, helping to raise the profile of Italian house with a very personal interpretation of electronic music, full of Detroit influences & a deep-rooted sense of groove 🚀 

Gino started buying records at 11 years old in the late 70s when his uncle was working at an independent radio station & soon fell in love with disco and boogie seeking out obscure gems off the radar of collectors at the time. He was part of the amazing Italian DJ crew Garage Paradise, alongside the like of Enrico Crivellaro aka Volcov, Luca Trevisi and other ragazzi. His compilation “We Know How To Boogie” for BBE Records @bbemusic contains some insanely dope disco & boogie jams worth checking out. 

Since 1994 Dino's been a member of the Pasta Boys crew @pastaboysxx – with Uovo and Deejay Rame – with whom he's collaborated with the likes of @Osunlade & Masters At Work @masters-at-work-official

Expect groovy records, enchanting disco, serious funk, stunning reworks of old school tunes, obscure gems, classics and pure love for the warmest music ever. Eternally grateful that two legends in the game have come through with an hour of soulful sounds to get you in the mood for the weekend. Grazie mille fratelli 🙏

Recognise: Paula Tape

Russ (DJ Dribbler) lives in Ibiza, DJs at Pikes, Paradise Lost, Ibiza Sonica, OpenLab, WOM, Standard Hotel and Malanga Cafe. He has written two novels which have achieved cult status on the underground scene, "Harry's Kebabs" and its sequel, "The Take Away". He was a resident DJ at Pure in Edinburgh, Tour Dj for Orbital in the 90s, spent 10 years djing in NYC, was a resident on Amsterdam's Red Light Radio for 4 years and is now a resident at Pikes.

"I met Ken (Slothboogie) recently, when he was over DJing at Pikes. We spoke about Edinburgh. He knew of Pure. We chatted about the influence and contribution from Edinburgh in the 90s to today's goings on. It is a vast diaspora of artists, producers, writers, record shops, distributors, DJs, promoters and punters worldwide. I live in Ibiza now, I've lived in many countries and cities, and I'm lucky enough to hear and play alongside some world-class DJs every week. You always keep learning.
I spent years hounding black music from the USA, and then suddenly, the penny dropped with Americana.
It was all down to JIM, aka Jim, aka Ron Basejam. The harmony and melody and pounding soulful drive to the music, it had it all. I play that in the first hour. In the second section of the mix, I play a lot of tracks sent to me by friends. Andy Kidd lands mixes every year and they go through DJs here like a dose of the measles. Random House Project is also worth a mention this year for the Slave edit on there and other remixes. It's great to be able to share them with you."

This is the recording of @frinda_di_lanco and @hendrik_stein's  warmup for Bionda e Lupo's "La Deutsche Vita" record release party at Sameheads - a night which was special in every possible way. 

Since we were flattered by the invitation and love this heartwarming record, we took our chance and prepared our very own interpretation of "Gertalo". After years of digging mostly German and Italian Records but lacking proper occasions for playing these to an open-minded audience, this slot felt like a moment we have prepared since ages, without knowing it would ever happen. 
We're more than happy that there is a recording and Hendrik got back his keys and wallet. 

Thanks to @biondaelupo, @riccardisch and all the great dancers! This was a night to remember.

Our next guest on our mix series is one of Bristol’s finest selectors Chez De Milo. 

@ChezDeMilo has been a long-standing host of the Magic Carpet Ride Noods radio show, as well running the infamous Club Blanco parties. His productions have been turning many heads, releasing on esteemed labels like Futureboogie, Ugly Music and Disco Halal. His reputation as a DJ and producer has gained him slots at some of the worlds most reputable parties including the Meatshack in NYC Downlow at Glastonbury and Love International. 

This mix is a live recording of his set at the first of a series of collaborative events with brothers @viscera under Optick, playing alongside Felix Dickinson and Richard Sen.
