This soulful r&b/indie pop song shares the uncertainty associated with questioning the certainty of who we're supposed to be at this age. It pokes fun at the impatient, eager young adult expecting immediate solutions and taps into unsteady feelings associated with change, regret, passion, and fear. The frustration of repetition is a common theme driving us to seek "clarity" from others when really, the answers reside in ourselves.

"Spell" captures the fear of uncontrollable lust. It depicts the unsteady feeling of falling for someone, casting us into a state of denial and succumbing to the passion. Sensory imagery sweeps into the first verse, portraying a ‘hypnotic and haunting’ tone, which remains constant throughout the track. “Spell” plays on the sultry side of temptation and creates an eerie atmosphere, relaying a chilling & spooky vibe. Overall, it aims to capture the moment in which one experiences the pull of lust.
