This song is meant to represent the loneliness you feel when you are separated from everything you want, and material things have no meaning compared to what your heart feels. I wrote this song in 1997 while I was in a hotel in Madrid for 3 months, far from everything I loved. This is the first version I've recorded with Esther and Sonia...I hope you like it.

four walls and a bed
a telephone, my pajamas
a small table, a stool
a mirror, a wardrobe
a comb and a calendar

A loud alarm clock
a window, a distant sky
some hangers, a folder
my toothbrush
shirts, boots, trousers
advertising in the drawers

My diary next to a mobile phone
the TV, the keys and a bathroom
those minutes that hurt
a laptop
a lighter and my cigarette
and that silence so dull

The hustle and bustle and the people
a thousand meaningless faces
my fake character
and my house so absent
the trips, the coming and going
the metro and that heavy train
