Sublimix #76 - Vinil Motion

After a short hiatus on our mix series, our sixth instalment of the outsourced series takes us all the way over to Detroit in search of another killer guest mix. Up steps Young Muscle, one of the many exciting artists pushing leftfield club music in the States right now. After cutting his teeth with a huge debut release on Scuffed Recordings last year, Young Muscle has been working hard in the studio and shows no sign of slowing down this year, with a few really exciting releases in the pipeline (watch this space). 

His ability to build a mix which weaves together different styles and genres without ever straying too far from the left-of-centre sound, perfectly encapsulating the energy of those late nights in the club, makes this one of our favourite guest mixes we've had to date.

Steppe Two Vol. 1 brings together 4 high-octane heaters straight from Detroit. On the A side, Ke Thu's hypnotic "I Miss Your Love" calls out from the deepest recesses of your memory, while Beatloaf's "Premium Content" is just that, no frills, all bassline. On the flip, "Think It Through" from Jeff Risk shows why some breaks remain evergreen, and lastly, Beatnok's "Can't Turn Left" is a flurry of drums and bass; blink and you'll miss it.
