This piece is built on Ableton Live out of the recordings I recrently made of @kate-gallaher and @stellato-strings playing flute, recorder and violin, sometimes using melodies from John Walsh's The Bird Fancyer's Delight, then also with me on the piano.

The piece is a response to this week's @naviar-records challenge based on a haiku poem by Jerome Berglund and here's the information about that:

- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku527)”

- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
- If you don’t use any music platform, upload it to this Dropbox folder and I’ll include it in the weekly playlist. If you choose this option, make sure you include your name in the track’s title.

Jerome Berglund has worked as everything from dishwasher to paralegal, night watchman to assembler of heart valves.

Many haiku, haiga and haibun he’s written have been exhibited or are forthcoming online and in print, most recently in bottle rockets, Frogpond, and Modern Haiku. His first full-length collections of poetry Bathtub Poems and Funny Pages were just released by Setu and Meat For Tea press, and a mixed media chapbook showcasing his fine art photography is available now from Yavanika.

Here’s our Eurovision song entry! Well, it would be, if, we were entering it! Moonlight Love Affair is best described as a Spanglish techno/Latino/pop song with Spanish and English lines alternating through each verse, together with a Spanish chorus! The first line of each verse “Te quiero mi amor” translates as “I love you my darling” and is used as the precursor for the next line which is in English, so, if the first verse was all in English it would read as:  I love you my darling with all my heart and soul, I love you my darling when we go for a stroll.

Silicon Valley CA Product Engineering Executive/SSD Geek; spinner ported from the 80's!  Spun at various clubs and parties and countless parties in college. Spent most of my allowances on extended, remixes and hard to find 12" dance vinyl records, used to frequent record stores (Tower, Record Factory, Star, etc.) on weekends and after class. Pursued Electrical Engineering to quench that never ending curiosity on how electricity, analog and binary signaling work. Obsession started first with collecting cassette tapes in grade school then evolved to 12" Extended Remix Vinyls high school. Count the BPMs, find the intros and breaks and move on the next.The Art is in the mix! Happens listening! Cheers! 💾🎧📻
