Rafau Etamski is musician and producer from Bydgoszcz, Poland. He started his musical journey 10 years ago producing hip hop instrumentals. Gradually through increasing the tempo of this genre, he became to familiarize himself with Drum & Bass too the point where 175bpm has taken over. Creating a great passion for DnB and all its sub-genres, from the darker sounds of neuro to his preferred sound of choice, liquid. With influences coming from his love of hip hop, jazz and funk, he tries to incorporate these elements and the inclusion of all live instruments, into his productions today.

Rafau returns to Stepping Forward with his soft-more release on the imprint. "Blue & White" features clean sparse breaks atop a low sub bass line that humms along as a bed for the heavily effected Guitars and Piano deftly laid throughout. Guest vocalist Cory Friesenhan's amazing vocals seal the deal contrasting perfectly against a haunting female vox sample that echos throughout. Smooth and crisp at the same time, Rafau Etamski continues to show why he's one of the masters of the Liquid Drum & Bass game.

On the flip, "Talk 2 U" continues the trend with his signature sparse breaks rolling atop a bed of Saxophone that settles it's self into your head for days after listening.

Simple Souls (formerly The Funk Junkiez) is a Liquid DnB project from Prague, Czech Republic, trying to connect live instruments with smooth sounding liquid.

Both tracks on this single are a great example of that ethos, containing live recorded piano, guitar, trumpet, bass guitar and even some vocals. The overall vibe is chilled and melancholic instead of the summer soundtrack liquid funk that Simple Souls typically produces.

"Not Meant To Be" & "Clockwork" will definitely bring peace to your soul and is great listen on rainy days :)
