So many good things have been going on in our world but sometimes it is overwhelming. However we just take a deep breath and keep it moving. This week Joe Kay wanted to slow things down a bit and just focus on the music by going solo. Joe started off with some nice neo-soul/Dilla-esque vibes and then progressed into some progressive beats to get your energy flowing. Standout artists to look out for are LOSCO. These guys have a heavy, heavy sound. Just wait til you hear. As the show progressed the engagement via social media was massive and a few people randomly requested to hear a Sango tribute so we did one! Joe dropped a 42 minute set of primarily unreleased music to keep things interesting! We hope you enjoy the show and feel free to spread it to as many people as possible. Real radio is here.

Disparate producers with complimentary sounds, Evil Needle and Sivey met in an online beat community 6 years ago and to this day have never met in real life. On June 24, 2014 they present their first official EP, 'Constructive Interference', to the world. 'Constructive Interference' was created over the span of 3 years and embodies the unique soundscapes of each producer. 

Today, we are excited to share with you the single, "Constructive Interference" - a dreamy, bass-heavy, broken beat jam that really nicely sums up the feel of the collaborative sounds between Evil Needle & Sivey. 

Evil Needle, based in Strasbourg France [just on the border of Germany] pulls inspiration from traditional hip hop, neo-soul and trap music while seamlessly weaving in open synths and chunky chord progressions. Manchester, UK-based Sivey incorporates soulful beat-oriented music with what he calls "emotional highs and lows that are still musically stimulating" adding a beautifully uptempo sensibility.

The two come together to create a big sound vibration that is reminiscent of the round sound of vinyl – this time in a digital version.

Felt good to return with another stacked show full of forgotten music that I think you should rediscover or learn of. I have to say that since i've started my show on Rinse, it has been the toughest 4 weeks as far as preparing and performing the show. It's all part of the legacy though. I have never had to dig this hard in my life! I really kept this show smooth and highlighted a lot of neo-soul and melodic tracks. No matter how advanced or "future" the music keeps getting, I can't help but go back to my roots. We are still fighting a never ending battle against the majors which is why we have to dig harder but at the end of it all it will all be alright.
