Strip it back – that’s the approach behind Andre Crom and his label OFF Recordings, which nowadays ranges amongst the most popular underground electronic music labels of the world.

Now, Andre Crom returns to OFF with a deep and moody piece of house music, 'Hold On Tight'. Based on a layer of solid drums and a warm bassline, the track evolves with a gliding synth hook and bell theme, topped by a haunting vocal featuring Bramwell.

Jonas Saalbach is refreshingly different as he constantly reinvents his music but refrains from leaving out distinct nuances, which make his music unmistakable, not to mention, he performs his tracks exclusively live. Julian Wassermann steps up to the SVT plate with an immersive four track effort that showcases his knack for deep tech melodies. A minimal bassline and synths straight from the depths of space lay the groundwork for Alpha, the kickoff into the EP. A subtle yet effective mood-setter, it makes for a great inaugural cut as the release unfolds. Title piece Aurea calmly follows, looming in with tribal infused percussion and lush, effusive vocals. Garnering an equally atmospheric mood, Wassermann aptly combines airy pads and dark synths into an immensely polarizing cut. People Are Strange dives in on a more dynamic note, centered around a solid bassline with alternating synth lines. Swiftly morphing into an energetic banger via punchy bass and ghostly vocal chops, the construction carries major peak time appeal. For the final contribution Imperia, Wassermann calls on the production skills of fellow Muenchener H.B.C. to create a radiant piece of spacious tech. Layering modular strobes and arpeggiated synths, their production styles merge harmoniously, resulting in a dancefloor-ready strapping groove.

...is a collaboration between Aki Bergen and me, feature the amazing "voice-of-the-moment": spoken word poet Lazarusman, from South Africa. 
Aki and me wanted to do a collaboration for a long time, but it was hard to find the time for it. We thought we could make some kind of "sport" out of it, by making a set of rules, and make two separate versions in stead. Akis suggestion was to use Lazarusmans vocals, and individually make two versions from that. I loved the idea, and here we are! 
No remixes! Just two originals! 
All of us was very happy to find a home for our collab on "Noir music". Nobody works harder for his releases than fellow Dane, DJ Noir, and he's been rewarded by being the third most charted label on RA last year, with a string of outstanding releases and breaking new artists and genres.

The first notes of “Feys”, R.EK’s latest work and first single release in 2020, leave a volatile impression. The sound’s grace evokes the moment when you see a stranger’s face for the first time, when you inspect its details; cheek dimples, wrinkles on the forehead, a mysterious shade around the eyes.
With every passing second one discovers new details, striking passages taking turns with vulnerable sounds, and with every additional piece of the puzzle you’ll get closer to the core of this work. “Feys” heralds a new era for R.EK and introduces a new chapter for his label KnotenMusic—by uniting melodic techno with cinematic dramatics. In collaboration with Hannes Bieger, whose mixing adds a warm touch to the sound, R.EK is again pushing boundaries, and explores new grounds, where subtle, harmonious synthies and an enormous love for detail are paired to enable a new, distinct sound.

About KNOTEN
Under the umbrella of KNOTEN, R.EK is currently developing a new live performance concept that attempts to reinvent the communication between the artist and the audience by adding innovative visuals to the show. The new track will be released under KnotenMusic, which was launched as part of the KNOTEN project.
