During my travels in Mumbai last year, a Andrew Mackay from Bombay Dub Orchestra connected me with vocalist Vasuda Sharma for a tech house track I was working on. The lyrics "dheer dhariye Re Mana" are improvised during the song with "alaaps" and "Sargam" (Sa,re ga..) bascially meaning, "Have patience my dear heart." 

The idea behind the words: We get restless or disappointed when things aren't the way we'd like them to be. in times like these, one has to remind oneself to have patience because, in the end along with hard word, it's patience that pays off.

Horixon are Andrew Armstrong and Joe Sambrook. They have known each other for years, but only decided last year to start doing music together “just for fun”, without any real expectation, and not knowing what the results were going to sound like.

Mixing together their experiences has brought out a fresh sounding club-vocal project, with strong songs, and interesting production, referencing 90's R&B, classic house, a touch of garage, wrapped in beautiful atmospherics.

Croatian-born Petar Dundov was orn in Zagreb in the early ‘70s, his career in dance music stretches back the best part of 20 years, but it’s only in the new millennium that he’s been using his own name for his productions. Over the years he’s graced many of the world’s most prestigious and best-loved techno institutions – including mega-festivals I Love Techno, EXIT, Awakenings and Wire, and cutting-edge clubs like Berghain, Matter (RIP), Womb, Air, Fuse and Space. He counts a longstanding relationship with Belgium’s legendary Music Man label amongst his achievements, an imprint that has also played host to releases by everyone from Jeff Mills (for whose label Tomorrow he created the Sculptures mini-LP) to Green Velvet to Robert Hood.

Following on from the successful ‘Hold It Like I Own It’ release, Horixon have created, 'Colours,' another groove-heavy record, with luscious vocals running throughout. Sorrowful strings combined with warm synths create a stirring piece of electro pop. Today, we premiere Petar Dundov's bassline ramping interpretation of this beautiful package.

Some words about the track:
In the summer of 2015 i produced this wonderful song "Keep Up" sung by Richard Judge and since then the song stayed close to both our hearts. It was originally released in January 2016 as part of the Messiah release on Get Physical but as the title track Messiah did really well "Keep Up" was kinda over-heard.
So when Get Physical got in touch about re-releasing the song in the summer 2017 (as a stand alone single) me and Richard quickly "green-lighted" the idea. Get Physical asked me to make another edit of the original but it was hard to touch that piece which already felt 100% like it should be + Few Nolder had already done a perfect touch up of that original.
So i ended up remixing myself. Normally thats really hard but the new and more clubby vibe came quite natural to me. I actually ended up using nothing from the original but a hihat-loop and of course Richard's amazing vocal.
I still love the lyrics and the way Richard sing this song - so needless to say i am happy to have these vocals sitting on top of a more club-minded version for my sets.
