Als kein Mann der großen Worte lässt DJ und Produzent Mingo lieber die Vocals seiner Tracks sprechen. Das trifft sich gut, denn um den funkigen House des Hamburger Jung verstehen zu können, braucht man keine großen Ausschweife. Seine Mission ist nach den ersten Takten klar: Gude Laune und rollenden Bass zu vereinen. Dass er dafür genau der Richtige ist, beweist er nicht nur mit seinen Releases auf Tiefblau Records und Ton liebt Klang, sondern auch jedes Mal, wenn er zum Tanz bittet. Elke week duikt iemand met jaren ervaring in de muziekindustrie in de uitgebreide Vi.be databank. Die selector (muzikant, organisator, platenbaas, booker,...) pikt daar voor Studio Brussel drie Belgische bands uit die zijn of haar aandacht opeiste. Select stelt elke dag een van die bands voor. Donderdag valt het ultieme verdict. Dan steekt de muziekredactie de koppen bij elkaar om een weekwinnaar te kiezen. Op het einde van het seizoen wordt uit alle laureaten dan een überwinnaar verkozen, die zo in de voetsporen van Customs, SX en Psycho 44 treedt!
