the art of the warmup  is an article we see popup every 3-6 months, and I know many are in agreement of which facets those sets must have to qualify as one that stands out... this opening warm-up set by Ostrich at Montreal's famed Stereo club fits the bill as a slow bloom, a gentle set that slowly awakens with the evenings' sunlight, picking up tempo and rhythm just enough to keep the crowd gently bumping while keeping the energy contained in a dancefloor mason jar, its lid poked with a few holes for air, the lightning bug dancers inside sparking randomly with the beat's gentle intensities.
