Hyperloop is the first release on my new label, Untouchables.  This is just a taste of what's to come on this outlet I created for releasing my more experimental material.

All of the synth sounds in this song were conceived entirely using my analog modular synth rig, and I wrote it with the specific intent of performing it live.  This Spring, I will embark on my first live tour with this same setup.  No ableton, all hardware.  Hope you enjoy.  Please drop a comment or a repost if you dig. Back at it... This is my new track titled "Where Do We Go From Here?" This record serves as the beginning of a series of releases in 2017. Every month I'm doing something new. Every release will be self-released and free. Every release with a story and a purpose. You can read about my creative process with this track below.

A lot of the new music I’ve been writing is going back to my roots and music I have loved since I was a kid. I noticed textures, sounds and the feeling I got from music I enjoy to listen to found in NIN, Depeche Mode, Deftones, Beach House, My Bloody Valentine, and Slowdive weren’t in anything I was doing. 

I started to explore new tempos, new sounds and textures and tried to incorporate that into my work. I was also faced with the challenge of writing music that will connect without vocals or a vocal hook of any kind. To make something heavy, personal, and still human without human elements. 

I left "Where Do We Go From Here" purposefully minimal, cavernous, this is the beginning of a longer process. I wanted to set out and define what HXV is and sounds like once and for all; not as a reaction to the project's environment, but something separate from EDM, separate from traditional festival music. Something that stands on its own.

Known and loved for creating some of the finest bass sounds, Boombox Cartel drops their highly anticipated 'Cartel' EP. The five-track work features three previously unreleased tracks “Phoenix,” “Dem Fraid (feat. Taranchyla)” and “Widdit (feat QUIX).”

The EP opens with the melodic “Phoenix,” a future bass tune which acts as the introductory track. The next song is “Jefe,” an extra bass heavy track released at the beginning of March, marking the first new music from the duo in some time. The following track is “Alamo” an energetic hybrid track which has already amassed thousands of plays since being released last month. Next is a riddim track titled “Dem Fraid,” a slowed-down rhythmic yet wonky song. Rounding out the EP is “Widdit,” this collaboration with the bass don QUIX is sure to be heard in every trap set this summer.
