MetaRhythm

This is one of my favourite albums and I've just realised it had not upoaded it..!
It took about 6 months to complete and was one of my first serious forays into the use of sampling harking back to tracks I'd grown up with and even before sampling became possible I dreamed of remixing them somehow.
Together with lots of lush guitar which I'd always wanted to put into contemporary dance music, this is, me at my best in 1999.

Pulled these mostly of tape (these were all recorded using Cubase and I now use Logic Pro)from the mid 90's.
All the vocal songs are love songs, all written about somone, all drawn from real life

Jessica Culver feat: Toni Horsfield.
Jessica would leaf through her book of lyrics while I would throw musical ideas and out popped all of this. Toni surprised us all from being a listener to just getting, up grabbing a mic and laying some sublime backing vocals down.
Recorded during live sessions at my place, straight off the desk onto MiniDisc.

This is the opening track of a film score I wrote from a proposed remake of the Classic SciFi Book Dune.
The book has many middle eastern/asian references and the previous David Lynch film never touched on it so that was my starting point.

Title speaks for itself, slightly different flavour, I would have been open to rewrite it in context with the rest of the score's direction but I wanted to offer an alternative feel for the producers..
