What You Needed

Have listened, and bought a lot of ambient, and down tempo, so figured I'd do a mix of it again. Done on one take last night, so I'm not 100 % happy with it, but at least it's not thought to death. Hope this goes well with some candles burning.

Ravel composed his vocalise-étude, Pièce en forme de habañera while he was composing his opera L'Heure espagnole in 1907, drawing on an ongoing trend for French composers to write works in a Spanish style.  Being for wordless voice, it lends itself beautifully to the humanesque voice of the cello.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the iconic album will be available for the first time on vinyl and the re-releasing of the much sought after original first press CD + art book edition. Included in the reissue are 8 previously unreleased tracks recorded during the original sessions in 2010.
