I wrote the lyrics to this songs years before Slantbox was a band.  The idea came from watching the movie "Alive".  Based on the true survival story.  I thought..what a heck of a cruel, crude, way to survive by turning to cannibalism.  "Injured and broken wait their turns, all of the rest of us will burn".  It applies to me now as I believe that all lyrics come from God, that sometimes a life is laid down to give life to others, and without that sacrifice, all of us would burn as I say in the song.

This is a full version of the song You Rescue..  I wrote this about the ability of Christ to save a person even from the living hell that I lived.  It is dark, but it is where I was. It only touches on the journey which to me was terrifying and full of demons from which I am delivered through my Lord Jesus Christ.  Garren Warwick came up with the drum and bass guitar parts and played both for the recording.  I am on vocals and guitars.
