Local legend Steve from Shefford created this ear worm as a UK Eurovision entry to capitalise on the success of Sam Ryder and Bucks Fizz. “We tried to compose a timeless song for the competition, even using some notes that were similar to ones used by ABBA”, says Steve, 52. “Just think, if we had won, next year the final could have been held locally!”

But Steve, were you really banned? “Wouldn’t that be crazy if it were true, but in fact the song just exceeded the 3 minute duration limit.”
