Hi guys, something a bit different this time. "Solar Winds " ©Steve de Clifford.  The inspiration for this project was the issues of a rapidly changing climate. I've just finished writing/arranging, recording and producing this alternative rock track. I had a lot of fun playing the instruments and briefly stepping away from my acoustic guitar just for this. Solar Winds

Hi guys, this new tune of mine "Cabarita" ©Steve de Clifford is a latin style tune that started as a finger picking exercise I wrote for myself. In time it has grown and developed a Latin American persona. It's played on my McIlroy A25c. I've added bass and percussion to round it out . I hope you like it. "Cabarita", the place, was a childhood holiday memory. It always sounded Latin American to me but in fact it is Aboriginal meaning, " by the water" . Brief Artist Description.

Singer songwriter. Music written is an amalgam of Folk, Roots,Blues, Alt country, Ragtime, Rock and jazz.  Unless otherwise stated all tunes are written, played recorded and engineered by Steve de Clifford.  Instruments played are fingerstyle acoustic  and electric guitars.  5 string Banjo, Banjola, mandolin and charango.
Influences include Paul Simon , Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Don Ross, Gordon Lightfoot, Nick Charles, James Taylor and Keith Urban.

Detailed Artist Bio
I started  playing acoustic guitar in the late 60s.  I taught myself fingerstyle which for me me was all I wanted to play. I played a 12 string  for many years.
Since those early years I have been singing, writing songs and playing fingerstyle guitar both solo and in bands. 
My interests lie mainly in Acoustic folk, roots, celtic,  alt country, jazz and blues and I do   play electric guitar here and there.
 I have a substantial back catalogue of songs  written in different styles. Most have been  acoustic singer /songwriter type tunes  . I have  also  explored and enjoyed writing in collaboration with other musicians at various times. 
 In the last few years I have  learned to play Banjo, Banjola, Mandolin, Bass and Charango and I have worked these instruments into my performances and used them to  enrich my recordings.  
These days rather than concentrating on performing live , I see my time as more productively spent focusing on recording performance videos,  writing and studio recording my music. 
In most cases I play all instruments and do all  the vocals in my recordings.  I also do the  arranging, production, editing, mixing and mastering .
