[from the original liner notes] '...in which The Valentine Brothers conquer the world and send the spoils back home to Mama.  Her name is Ximena Valentine and she plays one of the accordions on this tune (the other being played by her grandfather, Giuseppe Valentine, by far the world's oldest accordion player.)  Ximena is not fond of the song at all.  (In real life she is a very slight woman who can press 1300 lbs. making her the world's strongest mother.)  Rudy & Buster prefer to imagine the ballad was written chiefly about their mother's legendary big heart.  The brothers have never crossed paths with the original songwriter, nor do they have any desire to do so...'  -Antoinette Lily

A response regarding the current controversy over the notorious ballad from the reclusive songwriter in The Hollywood Reporter (March 2021):  '...I do regret any unintentional heartache this bombastic song has caused the Valentine clan or any of the millions of wonderful & loving mothers across the globe to whom we cherish with all our hearts.  I think a modern day revision is not out of order.  So here it is, my treasured friends:     

         'They were both hugged by their loving mother
          She could press thirteen hundred pounds, 
          The World's Strongest Mother
          They came from Venezuela on a big white fluffy llama
          They were the World Famous Valentine Brothers
