Originally from South London, UK, House Music DJ and Producer Darren Studholme started his successful career as a DJ way back in the days of the early House Music scene. At the break of the 1990's Darren started his original productions in the Acid House and House genres. He made a mark in the industry worldwide as a Producer and Remixer collaborating with major and independent Artists on multiple record labels. Now a sought after staple in the House scene, Darren Studholme resides in Cyprus and continues producing and remixing real House Music for the world. 
            P-Monie is a Soulful House, Afro House, Deep House, House music vocalist, who has  been working in the entertainment industry for the past twenty one years. Originally from Brooklyn, NY then relocated to the Washington, DC. area, P-Monie is passionate about his music and has been considered as one of the hardest working individuals in the entertainment industry today. He has been influenced by many music greats; Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Nestor Torres, DJ Charles ,Louie Vega, and JellyBean Benitez. P-Monie enjoys many releases on indie and major labels worldwide.
                  Moniestien is an Artist/Producer/DJ, and label boss. He specializes in songwriting, producing, composition, remixing. Moniestien has releases on multiple key labels and major labels around the world. He is also a veteran feature DJ on some of the most popular mixshows in the House Music scene. 
                   'Big Idea' is an original one of a kind collaboration between Darren Studholme & P-Monie featuring melodic, Soulful House with organic chords, tight drums, strings, Sax and memorable vocals by P-Monie. This multimix gem also includes a deeper, stomping 'Matombo Remix' by Remix Artist Moniestien. ‘Dem Mai Hoes’ is a Broken Beat / Nu Jazz production workout straight from the lab of CN Williams. Featuring a vocal sample from a Moodymann interview, this track has been years in the making—refined, reworked, and now finally hitting the mark.

Unlike some of my sample-heavy productions, this one is fully built from the ground up. Every element—from the drums, flute, piano, bass, and horns to the congas, percussion, rain stick, and even the scratching—has been arranged and produced by yours truly.

Previously shared in a different form, this version has been fully polished and mastered by the incredibly talented Conan Manchester at The Crates Motel.

It’s far from a House track, but it’s got the funk and has been a passion project from start to finish. Hope you enjoy it!
