A multifaceted artist, who over his career has traversed between singer-songwriter, hit producer, DJ and curator, Ben Westbeech now debuts on Glitterbox Recordings with a fully realised and fresh artistic vision. From the release of his mature debut album Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life for Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, to his chart-topping club records as Breach, and work as The Vision on Defected, his latest work sees Ben step back from his frontman role to spotlight new vocal talent. One of the artists who caught his eye was captivating UK talent RAHH, perhaps best known for her chart-topping release with Prospa ‘This Rhythm’ on Circoloco Recordings in 2024. Born out of a series of sessions at Defected’s London studios, this striking label debut ‘Times Are Changing’ is a manifestation of Ben’s long-held career reputation as a magnet for talent, as RAHH’s flawless vocal and the considered songwriting bewitches listeners. Co-produced by the all-star trio of Luke Solomon, Honey Dijon and Chris Penny, with a combination of jazzy bass, journey-like arrangement and additional vocals from inimitable Detroit trio Dames Brown, the uplifting and anthemic qualities of ‘Times Are Changing’ are undeniable. And this is just the start for Ben Westbeech and Glitterbox.
