Manchmal begegnet man einem Menschen, bei dem sich alles selbstverständlich und leicht anfühlt – auch wenn man sich kaum kennt. Solche Momente sind selten, oft flüchtig und vergänglich, und doch hinterlassen sie Spuren. Zurück bleibt ein Schatten darüber, dass es nicht mehr ist. Erst später erkennt man die Wärme, die dieser Moment hinterlassen hat.

Genau solche Augenblicke zeigen uns, was wir uns wirklich wünschen. Sie erinnern uns daran, dass wir all das und noch mehr verdienen – und dass es gut ist, für sich einzustehen und sich treu zu bleiben.

Dieses Set ist mein Versuch, dieses Gefühl einzufangen: Augenblicke, die vergänglich sind, einen im ersten Moment traurig machen, weil sie vorbei sind, und doch als „Moments of sunshine“ in Erinnerung bleiben.

1997: while the filtered house of the French Touch flounders in its death throes, “Paris Acid City” by Black Strobe, a long, meandering acid track - melancholic and laced with poison - helps reintroduce house music into clubs.

2011 & 2012:  Rebotini has had the good taste to turn over some of his favourite Black Strobe tracks such as “Me And Madonna” and “Italian Fireflies” to the younger generation, people like Munk, Wagner , Hey Today! or Rico…
Now it's their turn to give these pure classics of deviant disco a new lease of life on the dancefloor...
And this will announce 2012 as The Black Strobe year.
