It’s a family affair!! 
What you are holding in your hands is the first part of a new series on Connaisseur called “Alex Flitsch meets…” where label head Alex Flitsch teams up with various friends from the label family and its surroundings.

The inspiration for the first part was several trips to Barcelona, where Alex and the Audiofly boys, Ant and Luca spent time working on their music vision whilst enjoying a laugh and delicious food. The result is Alex first release since ages and will definitely bring the newly minted Cocoon Club-resident to another level of attention.

The two tracks are state of the art house and combine Alex long lasting DJ experience with the extraordinary studio skills of Audiofly. 
Long Way To Go is a peaktime-orientated monster of a house track. The idea was to reinterpret classic filter house sounds into modern form. 
Conversation is a real gem with its deep dubby groove and the strongly nineties influenced sound aesthetic. 
The release will be completed with a wonderful remix treatment for Long Way To Go by Romanian newcomer Ali Nasser. 

More cooperations with other well-known friends and members of the Connaisseur family are in pipeline, so better watch out!

Con fecha de lanzamiento marcada para el 19 de diciembre de 2025, “Shadow In Stereo” encabeza el nuevo EP de Pier Mood en Mood Nation, una referencia que resume con claridad la visión del sello y de su artista al cierre del año. Desde Barcelona, el productor italiano presenta una pieza que se mueve entre el deep tech y el deep house más subterráneo, poniendo el foco en el groove, la textura y la progresión silenciosa.

“Shadow In Stereo” se construye desde una base rítmica firme y contenida, con un bajo profundo que actúa como eje y una percusión precisa que avanza sin prisas. Las capas sonoras se superponen con sutileza, generando una sensación de espacio y profundidad que refuerza el carácter introspectivo del track. No hay golpes evidentes ni soluciones inmediatas: el tema se apoya en la repetición, el detalle y la acumulación de tensión.

El corte refleja con precisión la identidad que Pier Mood ha ido desarrollando en sellos como Expmental Records o Trax, y que aquí se consolida bajo el paraguas de Mood Nation. La influencia del showcase del sello en ADE es palpable en la energía del track, que equilibra funcionalidad de pista y cuidado estético, pensado para contextos donde el tiempo se estira y el groove manda.

A decade on from his debut release, one of Romania's finest cultural exports returns to his favourite stomping ground with a trans- mission that showcases variety, technical skill and an intimate understanding of the dynamics of the floor.

The stripped-down, moody menace of 'The Swindle' kicks things off, dancing semi- quavers panning left and right, a mysterious male voice incanting. A bass synth motif carries the tune to a climax before its buoyant, trancey conclusion. At all times, elements unfold organically, carrying the listener away.

'Rotate' casts a busier, jacking vibe, its analogue synth cycles pinging against each other. Glimmering layers of sound create an endlessly immersive, deadly deep groove.

'Feed Me' is slower, slinkier and rougher in equal measure. The sustained synths create a gliding sensation, the male vocal first mellifluous and sung then husky and spoken.

'Chance' is a shuffling, fizzing deep house groove, precision-tooled for the dance- floor. "Let it take control" urges a male voice. Sound advice for this deliciously hypnotic groove.

Mihai Popoviciu (@mihai-popoviciu-1) has carved out a reputation for being one of the most innovative producers of electronic music active in Europe today. The man from Romania has established himself both as a highly respected producer - releasing on labels such as Highgrade, International Gigolo and Dessous - and as a killer DJ performing all over the world. 'Fiction' is his 4th release on Poker Flat Recordings, and delivers four distinct avours to sink your teeth into.

I Should' is a slinky groover, with a slippery, evolving bassline, tight, funky percussion and a sultry female vocal. Working just as effectively early in a set as a peak time moment, it’s bound to get rinsed in the coming months.

'Twisted' is a little harder - a straighter beat signals a more heads down approach, and the bassline is sure to trigger some dancefloor scenes wherever it gets played.

Next up is title track 'Fiction' which perhaps makes a reference to Mihai’s background, with fragments of Eastern European melodies woven into the beautiful synth work, all tied together over a spacey yet driving rhythm track.

Last but by no means least is 'Interconnected' - a straight up deep bomb with echoes of classic Chicago deep and acidic house in its warm and sensual vibe.

His first connection to the world wasn’t a cry, but the steady, pulsing heartbeat of a disco bassline, echoing through the warmth of his mother’s womb. Curtis Mayfield, Donna Summer, Chic – not lullabies, but early awakenings. His early mentors were not teachers, but magicians: Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Theo Parrish.

In 2003, he stepped into the nightlife. Vienna became his playground, the legendary Leopold his laboratory. From 2004 to 2010, he shaped genre-bending nights – one vinyl at a time. Disco never died. House never stopped. They danced on in his hands.
But FRANCO FORTE is no retro romantic. His sound is not nostalgia – it’s an act of devotion: to groove, to guitar, to raw basslines, to ecstatic house and sparkling disco in all its shades – playful, gritty, smooth, explosive. He quotes funk with a wink, lets guitar riffs float like thoughts, and grounds it all with a bassline that says more than words.
