Okay the idea is not new that said this is
 a true life experience.
 I was at a training College to become a 
 teacher.
 The college was up the North Island of
 New Zealand near Auckland.
 I was to take ships buses, and trains to get to 
 where I wished to go.
 I met the same Poker player twice 
 on the limited Express train I was never 
 to forget these meetings. 
 When life was a hundred miles an hour.

2nd deposit of this song...

For some time now I have tried to write songs
regarding the loss of life and
the deadly evil that persists as regards
the killing of innocent people.
Can the human race get past all this murder?
Anyway, this song I think is my best effort.
I am sure there are many out there who have
said a lot of prayers for those who have
been horribly injured or died under the wrath of
people in supposed high places who have forgotten
what they are chosen for.

"I Made It Home"
Frozen To The Bone exits and I changed the title to
"I Made It Home".
This song is as usual I guess true as I like to do.
It could have been more detailed but how
long can a song be!
Somewhere as a teenager like many then and many now
I had what they say is a serious traffic incident.
When this happens it takes time to get your head in a good place.
You do some crazy things.
In this example I would ride my motorcycle to Christchurch NZ 
for follow up medical stuff and ride back to Westland over the Alps.
As a person who for a while after this incident was a sickness beneficiary, 
I have to state we got about two thirds of the money that the out of work people did.
Times were tough but traveling on a motor bike cost if I remember correctly
50 cents there and 50 cents back from the Coast to Christchurch. Cheap A'.
So this is one of my journey's and I must add two days after getting home
I was taken away from home and placed in Hospital suffering
from self inflicted Pneumonia.
It was fine weather the previous day and I never thought to take
even a woolen jersey!
Thanks to Barbara who gave me overnight stay in CHCH, sleeping bag and all.
The trip home around 252 km's.
Drizzle, sleet and snow.
Thanks also to my critique wonders who forced me to dig a little deeper
re my efforts to get a good mix I hope I've done it.

A song I wrote of an altercation which happened between myself in part with the community in which I live and a mining company. Before I go on I must make it known my Father was involved in the mining field for many years and I am not against mining taking place where environmental measures are adhered to.
   Over 10 years ago the company in question came to the district and town wishing to mine, one of the entourage at a meeting in the town hall made the statement that the group was all set on moving the townspeople 8km up the road into pre built houses and they could do that through the banks as no one in the town owned their own house.
Not a good start! you would think?
    Not so long ago I was to speak at a submission hearing regarding mining controls at the local Council meeting and
travelled to the mining to take photographs of the enterprise, all the photographs are from road reserve ( legal for the Public)
an odd place for a miners wall you would think.
  Anyway I travelled home unaware  that a 4x4 covered in dirt was high tailing me. Getting out of my vehicle I noticed
a finger going up and down at a great rate of knots behind a greatly smeared side window of the 4x4 across the road.
 I realized after a while that it was my friend the mine owner so I waved to him to come over, this he did.
My friend parked at an angle on and across the road so I walked around the front of the vehicle and he wound down the window
and spat out some affectionate language. After he had vented his spleen I replied a little more gently but strongly.
The conversation continued a while and then I said my goodbyes at which I walked around the front of the 4x4 while he started up his truck.
He then as I was still at the front of the truck dropped the 4x4 into forward gear and rammed my body, fortunately I am an athlete
with quick physical reaction times and just lay on the bonnet while the mine owner sorted out his emotions....
I was all smiles.
The next day it was all around the district that I had been on the mine site interfering with the machinery...
Hence the lyrics "Gutless behind the wheel".

 when everything seems like a big swamp!
Without the lows where are the highs.
Harness the drive and life becomes an education and a blessing.
These are harder times the better days are to come.

Reason
I wrote Reason from a trip I made coming back from the top of the North Island
I traveled by train to Christchurch then stayed the night with a friend.
I thought I would chance my arm by Hitching a ride over the Canterbury plains over the Alps then to my family home.
I actually carried two suitcases and a guitar over my back but I figured 
putting two suitcases into a song would bring along it's own difficulties.
I started off at the Sheffield Cemetery after my friend dropped me there.
Rides were hard to come by so I just walked.
A time when I was young when life seemed oh so complicated and a feeling of being inadequate! 
A really bouncy country, Rock Blues though.
I hope you get some listening happiness.
