Storm

The not-very-creative name will give you a clue when I recorded it. Novation Summit, Elektron Syntakt, Audiothingies Micromonsta2.

Dub Santa

This is an intersection of a couple things I was working on - building a Boards of Canada-like patch on my Summit with modwheel and expression pedal control, and experimenting with various uses of LFOs on my Syntakt. So, it's kind of a mix of styles, but I was happy with what resulted.

Chaos

If you know r beny, you'll know where my inspiration came from here - even used a modified version of his Sequoia patch from the summit for the lead line. The Nord a1 comes in for the middle section, 3 synth lines combined plus some noise. Enjoy!

Hope In The Shadows

Just doing some experimentation with the Wavestate's vector envelope. 4 layers - 2 are the bassline, just different timbres, 1 is a saw, and 1 is the vocal sample, with the vector envelope looping between them. There's a pitch sequence and I'm playing with an arp over the top of it.

VectorAh

Originally did this a few years back, didn't like the arrangement or mix, left it to sit, and now I've done some more work on it. Had to publish it before the perfectionist got too involved and killed the thing.

Late Rain

Live jam using the Intellijel Metropolix to control the Audiothingies Micromonsta2. I've been playing with this pair as a portable rig running off of a USB battery. Both are far more capable than you'd think at first glance. I'm only just starting to get the hang of the Metropolix, but it's a well-designed sequencer with a ton of layers within it.

Production notes:
Metropolix is doing all the sequencing, 2 different tracks, both pointing to the same patch on the Micromonsta 2, which is generating all the sounds (including the fx). These two make a great combo that's easily portable with the right battery & cables.

First recording with the new Korg Multi/Poly. This thing can do bright and shiny, dark and moody, loud and edgy … pretty much whatever you want it to.
