Launching on May 16, the imprint’s inaugural release sees the two label founders join forces with UK band Throws to reimagine their 2016 album single “The Harbour.”

Echonomist and Jenia Tarsol launch their new label ‘Flying Hearts’ as a space for creative freedom, emotional storytelling and genre-blending sound. With a deep respect for musical heritage and a passion for pushing things forward, the label offers a platform for timeless ideas shaped through a modern lens.

The first release is a collaboration between the two founders and the UK band Throws titled “The Harbour” – an evolution of a track from Throws’ self-titled 2016 debut album that they've long cherished and a natural continuation of Echonomist and Tarsol’s previous work together on "The Happiest of All Memorial Days." It sets the tone for what the label stands for: music that carries feeling, memory and intention.

Each release will be accompanied by a portrait of the artist – capturing not just the sound, but the human connection behind it. For this first chapter, the visual is a photograph of Jenia and Echonomist the moment they first met: a spontaneous hug, caught by a photographer at exactly the right time. That image now becomes a symbol of what the label represents; authenticity, connection, and shared experience.

This isn't just a label – it's a space where music and memory meet, one release at a time.

Joining forces to create a visionary electronic record label that blends innovation with a deep respect for the roots of electronic music, Flying Hearts celebrates versatility, providing a platform where timeless influences meet bold, forward-thinking ideas to shape the future of sound.

Focused on fostering creativity without limits, the label embraces a wide spectrum of styles – from melodic, emotional compositions to daring, experimental productions. It serves as a cultural hub where music, storytelling and design converge, creating a space for artists to push boundaries while staying connected to the essence of their craft.

With Echonomist and Jenia Tarsol at the helm, this imprint aims to craft a legacy of timeless releases, cultivating a global community of artists and listeners who value both innovation and authenticity.

Established by label founders Echonomist and Jenia Tarsol in May 2025, Flying Hearts now welcomes Tel Aviv–based producer Tez to the fold for the label’s fourth official release: “Sweet Old Happiness” – a track that channels joy, human connection and the glowing residue of memory into a radiant, emotionally charged dancefloor experience.

Tez, an emerging voice in electronic music, brings a rich and eclectic musical background to his debut on Flying Hearts. With early roots in Israel’s thriving psytrance scene and later influences from Tel Aviv’s house and indie club culture, his productions reflect a wide-ranging sonic journey. Having played multiple instruments since childhood, Tez crafts music that is rhythmically grounded, melodically rich and deeply felt. His sound bridges the ecstatic and the introspective, anchored in groove, but always reaching for something beyond.

Describing his new track, Tez commented:

“‘Sweet Old Happiness’ is a radiant and uplifting anthem crafted to ignite joy and connect souls on the dance floor. It’s a vibrant explosion of positive energy designed to elevate spirits and inspire movement.”

That ethos pulses throughout the single. Built around a frenetic synth hook and shimmering chord progressions in the breakdown, “Sweet Old Happiness” plays with dynamic, analog textures, emphatic percussion and powerful, undulating basslines to masterful effect. It’s an ode to emotional release, where nostalgia meets euphoria, and memory transforms into motion.

This is Tez’s debut on Flying Hearts, and it fits the label’s vision with uncanny precision. Following the imprint’s launch with a reimagining of Throws’ “The Harbour” by Echonomist and Jenia Tarsol (FH001), the shimmering post-punk electronica of Electric Litany’s “Diamonds” (FH002), and a cinematic remix from the founders themselves (FH003), “Sweet Old Happiness” opens up an exuberant, soul-stirring dimension of the label’s sound; an invitation to feel joy fully and without hesitation.

As with all Flying Hearts releases, this latest single is accompanied by a portrait of the artist, offering a glimpse into the person behind the music. Tez appears here as both observer and participant: reflective, open-hearted and deeply connected to the emotional core of his craft. His music, like the label itself, is built not just for listening, but for feeling.

These musical journeys have taken Steve to high-profile events and music conferences worldwide.

Mill's upcoming releases are set to grace labels like Dirt Crew and True Romance, adding to his already impressive discography. With past achievements like Boiler Room appearances and a compelling full-length album, Mill's music continues to resonate with both audiences and fellow artists. Esteemed DJs such as Tensnake, Purple Disco Machine, and HoneyLuv have reached for his tracks, reinforcing his global demand.

Recently, Steve has transitioned into a new role as an Artist Services Manager at Beatport. In this capacity, he helps artists promote their work on the platform, leveraging his wealth of experience and passion for music. Steve's dedication to the craft and support for fellow artists ensure that his influence will continue to reverberate throughout the global dance music scene.
