I listen like a child to night, But the shadows know my name. Fatigue pours gently through the vents, Wrapping me in soft, invisible blame.
The horse walks backwards on a violet cloud. My eyes face the dream it left. She whispers through distant time zones now... And I keep still, in theft.
The table breathes beneath its gift, Unknown hands tie memory in bows. My name was said, half-broken, By a mirror that never knows.
The old man’s beard touches the past. I'm seated wrong, I'm waking slow. She trains in orchards long forgotten. I’m just the ache I never show. Light moves backwards, Through our unfinished sky.
I wrote none of this — But it’s mine, It’s mine.

All material - cut, altered, mixed at will - comes from a nocturnal solo improvisation with fretless acoustic bass guitar with piezo pickup, effect pedals (Carcosa - Dark Star - Obscura), non synchronized loops, three amps. Recorded in the room with Zoom H2n, edited in Audacity. All sounds made with the instrument. All sounds, mixing and production: Velvet Something Superdark.
