This started with a bass line. One that's barely audible anymore, underneath all the complexity, the polyrhythms, the reverb tails, the generative rhythms, the caffeinated woodpecker hats.

Is it too much? You tell me 😄

Oh, Chiptune III and IV. They're there, just not mixed yet. I'll have to revisit them some time, IV needs some finishing touches too. This will probably become an album at some point. The "strange chiptune that is anything but chiptune but has 8 bit synths in it" album.

This track is my attempt to emulate 'Signalwave' music. It is based on a vintage jingle, played on a piano and some Morse Code. When I was young, I used to have a short wave radio and I often tuned about. There were a number of stations sending beacons out, presumably to maintain use of the frequency. I always found them strangely comforting, to know they were there, constantly sending their lonely messages.
