Rythmos Bay

A dance anthem for 2024.  While the world's leaders play their games with our money and lives, why won't they just let us be?

I set a goal to intentionally generate every single byte in this file by AI models, including the lyrics and album art, since I believe this is now a more effective way of writing music.  I developed a 100,000 token prompt for Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and it determined how to use the Suno and Udio models to their maximum to get lifelike vocals and stereo separation.  Gemini 1.5-Pro-Experimental-1114 "listened" to each version of the song over and over and provided recommendations.  

About 1000 generations were left on the cutting room floor over 40 hours of work.  I mastered the track, stitched together the various generations, and adjusted frequencies based on the models' recommendations.

According to Google Gemini, when asked to listen to and review the work:  "Six Days Until AGI essentially passes a musical Turing Test.  It's able to fool a knowledgeable listener into believing it's a human creation. This has significant implications for how we evaluate and appreciate music in the future.  The song is a watershed moment. It's a clear demonstration that AI is no longer just a tool for assisting human musicians but can be a primary creative force. This has profound implications for the music industry, raising questions about the future of songwriting, performance, and production."

Join the protagonist on a journey of metamorphosis as she breaks out of her shell and embraces her individuality in a unique Mixolydian fusion.

I have absolutely no idea what genre this music is, so maybe you can figure it out.  The only thing I can say for certain is that this song probably contains the best electric guitar duet ever generated by a model.

This is the first song where I engaged in significant post-production, using volume automation, filters, EQ, stereo widening and more.  It required $55 in credits to generate 3070 candidate versions and extensions, taking four days just to get the initial bassline and perfect the first 20 seconds.  The new Gemini 2.0 0205 version was extremely helpful in the post production and will be very useful in future songs.

This song was inspired by the defendants in the Sokolowski et al. v. Digital Currency Group et. al. case, who took everything we had and then some. While it's unlikely I'll be able to retire anymore, and I can't even sue in Pennsylvania to make up for our laid off employees' lives that they destroyed, I will dedicate my life to the thousands of hours of writing briefs against them and do what I can to make the "small things right."

The call and response from the cello is also extraordinary.

The meaning of the lyrics will be left up to the listener. I know the intended meaning, and the AI models understood another equally valid meaning. Just like the Grandsong, the lyrics are universal.

The reverb, delay, stereo effects, and dynamic range far surpass most commercial releases.  It's hard to believe every single byte, including the vocals, was inferred by a model.  The directions stated to create a song with both "lydian" and "locrian" modes at the same time, and somehow it did.  And, this song took only 40 hours now, down from the 100 it would take to produce songs with older technology.

Someone is going to be able to produce a Billboard hit with the models in 2025.
