Hildegard von Bingen is the artist.  I HIGHLY urge each and everyone to check out this remarkable human being.  Her music is of the Spheres and her artwork is mind-blowing.  Her teachings and philosophies are astounding for the 12th Century.  That she survived the Church -and was named a saint, to boot- is a miracle in and of itself.

The ancient metropolis of Istanbul probably derives its name from the Greek 'Stin Polis' ('in the city')(according to Sean Lusk's excellent book 'The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesly)having previously been Constantinople the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
This incredible city spans the continents of Europe and Asia and reflects aspects of both in its culture and people.

Many may not know her: the little fee Tinkerbell. Once she was disappointed about her abilities. But thanks to her friends, her enthusiasm for what she was suited for grew. And she realized that only the abilities that are given to oneself are helpful for you and for others. I Brought You Into This World

This is a tune for wind band instruments. I used to play some very ragged slide trombone parts in two wind bands.

The insistent bass-line suggested a mechanical device to me. We haven't heard from the tuk-tuk since it was on the autobahn, so it reappears now in the north of England in the shadow of the famous Angel Of The North sculpture.

Brass band sounds often evoke impressions of the historic industrial UK northland to English minds.
