Earlier this year Indian Summer, @domdolla, @gofreek & myself set out on the inaugural Sweat It Out Tour of Australia. Merry times were had and a demo version of Define was causing dance floor combustion every time it was played.

Tale Of Us present a new collaboration with Vaal for the sixth release on their Afterlife label. Three years after they teamed up for ‘Concur’ and began to tour together, the trio return with their most anthemic offering yet. Vaal’s hauntingly-beautiful and instantly-recognisable vocals are the centre-piece on ‘Monument’, building on the style of her Wander To Hell EP (AL002). The drums and shimmering synth lines are moody and uplifting in the way Tale Of Us have made their own, arranged perfectly for the psychedelic breakthrough.

On the flip side, ‘The Hangar’ takes a different approach to equally devastating effect. It pumps with added urgency and a thunderous, steely bassline lunges out from the low-end. Designed for large soundsystems and big rooms, ‘The Hangar’ finds Tale Of Us and Vaal at their most direct and it’s something to behold.

Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes (AL007). They both take on ‘Monument’, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive.

Trance Wax, aka Ejeca, returns to Anjunabeats with a rework of OceanLab’s 2003 anthem, ‘Satellite’.

This is Trance Wax’s second OceanLab edit: ‘Clear Blue Water’, released in April, was described by Resident Advisor as "ethereal and addictive” and attracted support from big room heavyweights and cratediggers alike. This is the second official label release for Ejeca’s throwback edits project, the bulk of his work exists only on white label vinyl.

His latest reboot unashamedly embraces the euphoric tenor of yesteryear while a dusty broken beat takes aim modern dancefloors.

Trance Wax joins the Anjunabeats U.K tour later this year, with appearances at EH1 Festival in Edinburgh on September 14 & The Warehouse Project on November 29. Tickets for the Anjunabeats U.K tour are on sale now.

After a while away from our label we have the opportunity to bring back a long time server on the label as we see Saratov, Russia based producer Vasily Goodkov joining us again. With his driving and melodic progressive music, he’s surely spoilt us over the years with dreamy and hypnotic productions. This time around, he joined back with another two originals, named as “Ocean” and “Nature”.

“Ocean” is a smooth progressive production, layered up with smooth melodic arrangements that let us dream away over the summer season. It’s fresh as always from the talented producer and we are delighted to bring this one on for you.
