Really excited about this one, so i share it at an very early demo stage. Inspired by a couple of strange oberheim xpander patches i recently discovered and recorded, i got inspired to this song ...it's actually mainly 2 synth's: the oberheim and a akai ax60 with the help of some vst drums and an a elektron analog 4 towards the end. Curios about the vocal recording session and how it turns out at the end. Name anyone?

My very first trance track done in 1993 & released in 1994 by "Le Petit Prince"               ( Exxcelsior EP ). This had to be my first soundcloud upload.

A more progressive track from my early days, done in one night 1995 and released as a rare 10inch on Le Petit Prince Records. As far as i know, it was the only 10inch ever on Le Petit Prince. The other side of that record featured a remix of "Stand Ready".

This was the third track on my very first solo LP/CD and probably the fastest track i´ve ever done ...but hey, these were the raving days ;-) "Bushfire" was based on a sample i found on a CD with australian native music. What sounds like a 303 actually was a distorted ARP axxe synthesizer. The classic "Digi-Di" sound was an Oberheim matrix-1000 synth.

Another track from my first EP (Exxcelsior EP) on Le Petit Prince Records. This one was based on a sample i took from a 3D-sound demonstration CD. The "acid" stuff was done on a little Moog synthesizer (everything was tweaked in realtime & straight to DAT tape) & the hook-voices came from a cheap Roland sound canvas expander.

This is my favourite track from my second EP on Le Petit Prince Records (Exxcalibur EP). Based on myself trying to figure out how my PPG Sampler back in the days was working ...on accident i recorded that "ah" Sample and this was pretty much the idea ;-) "Naked Brunch" still remains of my favourite songs i´ve done so far since it has that "naive energy" you only have when you´re in you´re early 20´s ;-)

Second track of the Le Petit Prince "Exx-Pansion" 10inch. Finished in one night session in 1995. It´s called "Stand Ready" remix, but has not too much in common with the original, except some star trek & scifi samples. The bassline was the heartbeat sound from the classic start trek sickbay ...also you might hear the original enterprise transporter sound ...yes, some real nerdy stuff ;-) Still like it a lot though...it has a nice dark acid vibe & yes, a real 303 :)

This was the second Deep Voices release on our own deepvoicesmusic label. Featuring my friend & one of the last pure artists Lucian Zäyn on vocals. All the lyrics and vocals he came up with in one short session and we only did about 2 takes. Still remains one of my favourite Deep Voices tracks. Also it was one of the first cooperation with Oliver Revillé who played the 5 string bass & all guitars. Later Oli officially joined the band as third member.

Title track of my first solo CD. This track was done even before i started to record audio inside the computer. Only MIDI was done by a pc, all audio was recorded on a 8track tape machine. Some gear i used/remember: roland jx-3p, roland dj-70 samper, roland 2-30 workstation, 2x roland mc-202, realistic concertmate mg-1, roland jd-800. Also featuring the lovely voice of Birgit Kannen from my hometown.

Originally released on Go For It/Alphabet City in 1997 & later licensed to X-tra Nova & Dancing Spirit Recordings. Featured on numerous cd-compilation round that period ( including tiesto´s "forbidden paradise" where it was labeled wrong as the b-side "my style" ) Still one of my favourites. Some gear i used/remember: roland sh-2 (pluggy sound), realistic mg-1 & roland mc-202 (basslines), roland d-50 (pads).

Another one from the good old days of trance, where speed was no crime ;-) Cyclone Tracy were Paul Hutsch & Steve Baltes. This is the original version released on Friends/Alphabet City recordings in 1995 ...before Robert Miles ;-) "Piano In Trance" later got re-released by edel in germany and a video was shot by director Russel Curtis who worked for The Prodigy and others ....

Deep Voices have revisited a classic from the 90's Eurotrance Era; Originally released in 1997 by the legendary Go For It/Alphabet City Label. Oliver Reville, Jason Dyloot and Steve Baltes felt that it was the right time to breathe some new life into Steve Baltes' biggest clubsmasher "A Kiss Around Midnight". While the remix captures the beautiful and deep mood of the original in a modern way, the banging, more progressive repimp is taking the bass lines in overdrive mode and ready to take off the roof of any club.
