Steve Bug's seminal Poker Flat Recordings is back with another essential release - 15 killer grade dubs from the imprint's rich back catalogue. 

These dubs - stripped down to their raw grooves tweaked for maximum deep impact - have long been a major part of the label's underground aesthetic, and here we get 15 of the mightiest from some of Poker Flat’s top artists. 

Tracks by Argy, Martin Landsky, Adultnapper, Alex Niggemann and Boris Dlugosch all feature, with remixes supplied by some true auteurs of the art form.

Lawrence's take on Donnacha Costello's 'Leaving Berlin' is one of many highlights, as is Steve Bug's 'A Night Like This' from 2001 which receives the Richie Hawtin treatment, resulting in a dub techno masterpiece. 

Elsewhere, look out for Reshape's discodub of 'The Whisper Had It' - Simon Flower's epic slice of submerged techno-funk, and Russ Gabriel's sleek and sexy 'Prey Tell'.

The idea for this song came together in the late 90's. The words were inspired by what I was experiencing at the time. It seemed like just a repetitive phrase at first, but after listening to it several times, I realized how something little meant so much. 
When I first sent this to the Snuff Crew, they immediately replied that they were interested in it. I took the song back in the studio and gave it a slight update.  I kept the original vocal and 707/808 drums. 
I updated the Bass line and used a Juno 60 as opposed to the original Prophet 600 sound. I'm both surprised and happy as far as the amount of attention this has received. I can't thank The Snuff Crew enough for inspiring me to finish this. Also want to thank Strictly Rhythm for taking it to the next level with their Digital release.  Currently the vinyl version is the only place you can get the Acid & Instrumental mix. Also there's is an  A capella version found only on the digital release. The Soulful Techno king Gabriel Ananda makes his Truesoul debut with a re-master of his 2006 classic ‘Doppelwhipper’. The package also comes with two brand new remixes from Drumcode favourite Marco Faraone and the hotly tipped Layton Giordani. 

The EP opens with Marco Faraone’s remix, which samples Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘KOT Anthem (Soul Vision Remix)’. This takes ‘Doppelwhipper’ to dizzy new heights, keeping the obscure roots of the track and adding a rolling bass line that will bring any dancefloor to sheer hysteria. Next up is a re-master of Ananda’s seminal ‘Doppelwhipper’, a track which has well and truly stood the test of time. A connoisseur of the uncommon, his curious sounds float through almost 10 minutes of pure hedonism. Closing out the package is Layton Giordani’s interpretation of the track that is set to be a firm club favourite. Pounding through the gears, this one will do some real damage.
