I'm having a lot of fun digging deep through my collection putting these video mixes together, it gives me chance to showcase stuff I wouldn't normally get chance to play, and plus you get the rare treat of seeing me mix live and blow the dust off!

On June 17th 2003, I performed my very first gig for a local Trance night, my first step into the DJ world and a buzz that I'll never forget.

To mark 20 years (cough!) since that first gig, I thought I'd dig through my archives and perform an exclusive TRANCE ONLY set, returning to my roots and digging out some of my favourite Trance tracks from that year.

A 17-track, 75 minute journey featuring 20 year old vintage classics from labels such as ASOT, Anjunabeats, Lost Language, Platipus, Tsunami and many more!

OFF / GRID makes a captivating debut on Life In Patterns with his 'Sonic Spectrum' EP. Previously recognized as an underground gem in the techno scene due to his acclaimed, self-released EP, 'Time To Shine,' the Hamburg-based producer has garnered significant attention in 2023 with EP releases on labels like Planet Rhythm, Uncage, DifferentSound, and Entourage Concept.
On LIP009, he presents four meticulously crafted vinyl tracks and a digital bonus track, each a testament to his remarkable talent for creating hard-hitting, euphoric DJ tools. His music is distinguished by cutting stabs, hypnotic acid lines, and a distinct dub influence, all seamlessly woven together with powerful drum sounds.

Bio:
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, OFF / GRID is an up and rising techno producer, influenced by classic detroit techno, dub techno and hardgroove with a profound appreciation for music spanning from jazz to jungle. In 2022 he debuted with his non-label EP "Time To Shine" on Bandcamp, swiftly grabbing the industry's attention. Since then OFF / GRID is expanding his footprint in the scene by releasing his own ever-evolving interpretations of techno.

PREMIERE: OFF / GRID - Step Back [LIP009]

After delving through the 2023 Year Mix of A State of Trance (mixed by Armin Van Buuren) I was inspired to curate a live mix showcasing my favourite cuts from the compilation.

It's hard to try and distil a compilation of such scope (111 tracks!) down to a 1 hour set, but this mix hopefully shares the essence of what ASOT in 2023 means to me...
