-How long have you been creating music?
Corbin: Started producing at 16 years old on Garage Band and then Maschine, transferred to Ableton about a year ago, so 14 years now
Rein: I started playing guitar at 6 and began composing original music around 8 or 9 years old. I began producing on Logic at 13 and carried that passion all the way to the ICON Collective with me. It’s been a 20 year long journey now. 


-What do you use to make your tracks?
Corbin: Ableton Live 11
Rein: Ableton Live 11


-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
Corbin: Went to my first Dirtybird BBQ in Miami 2016, been a fan ever since!
Rein: My buddy Nate (Leffingwell) turned me on to dirtybird around the year 2020

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Corbin:That's tough, I’d say Claude VonStroke, Dipzy, or Steve Darko
Rein: I have a huge appreciation for Steve Darko’s sound and think we could make some real weird stuff together

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Corbin: Jurassic Park
Rein: Man sits in front of computer and confronts self doubt

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Corbin: Hands down, Earth Wind & Fire Bonnaroo 2015
Rein: I got to see Rush with my father as a kid and that was incredible 

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
Corbin: Whenever/wherever they were taste-testing the first Pop Tarts, big Poptart guy
Rein: I would go back to meet my grandfather and spend more time with him. I took his birth name, Rein, and have always felt a connection to him although we only met a few times. 


-What species of bird best describes you and why?
Corbin: Chicken, funky fellow that stays head bobbin’
Rein: A Phoenix. Rebirth is a huge theme in my life as someone in recovery. I have one tattooed on my chest. 

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Corbin: Freedom to be who you are in a judgment-free environment, pushing the limits beyond the norm. 
Rein: Community! Togetherness. Being cool with how weird I am and everyone else appreciating that too.

A couple months ago, my friends and I flew over to Shambhala music festival in Canada. We knew that deathpact had his debut set there and there was no chance that we were going to miss it. During the show, he dropped this mid tempo song and i was like WOAH. what is this track. Shazamed it, and boom kiss of death with Rezz, who is also one of my idols. As soon as i heard this, I knew I had to give it my twist when I got back home, and now here we are!

A refreshingly melodic intro comes through on @Shift-Key’s ‘Ragz’, before descending into a shape-shifting bassline drop, paving the way for @Taiki-Nulight-uk’s musically diverse “Kush”, with the iconic Dread MC’s vocals. After that we have @djJayRobinson & @Jack-Beat’s ‘Hustler’, a stunning mix of each of their synth-laden bouncy sounds, that send you into the tinkering synth riffs on @Petey-Clicks' ‘Ugly’, an energetic number that’ll keep your feet shuffling into the next track, @Sinden’s ‘Work That’. Eveningperple release their debut Holy Molé EP 'More Romance' featuring 3 new tracks and remixes by RIFFA, Proper Villains, and House Divided. Bringing back their funky fresh stylings to the label – their previous releases on Holy Molé include the Winter Fresh compilation and a remix of Codes & Astronomar 'How We Do'.

Leading with dreamy, amorous stabs, the title track 'More Romance' introduces a deep bassline that carries through the funky rhythms and fresh soundscapes. 'U Really R' moves into brighter melodic flavors with lush, natural samples balanced out by cheeky drum programming and a sassy bass growl.
