Faz - Sunday Dinner Sessions June '24

Last Sunday June 23rd, 2024 I had the opportunity to play at an amazing musical gathering in the heart of West Hollywood called PEX Los Angeles. PEX (The Philadelphia Experiment) is based in Philadelphia and in the summer they do a 3 day event at a boutique hotel called Hotel Ziggy in WeHo on the Sunset strip. Multiple talented DJs from all over the country keep the grooves going day and night for the whole weekend. A lot of the guests also get rooms there so they don't miss anything.

My set was scheduled for the last day which was Sunday, and I was fortunate to get PEX going for that closing day as people were getting set by the beautiful pool. It was hot (over 90F degrees), it was Sunday, and people were trying to cure their hangover from the night before so for the first hour I played some slo-mo grooves to ease everyone in.

After that first hour though I picked up the tempo and people came to the 'dance floor'. Build it and they will come, I think is the expression, and the heads sure did.

You might not be under the hot sun in Hollywood but you get to experience the same sonic treats that the people there did.

I then handed over to the talented producer, in demand remixer, co-head of Hot Gorilla records and all round top guy Andy Buchan for the guest mix. Andy takes us on a varied, interesting and sometimes slightly mad journey through his musical mind, with heavy 90s influences but some newer sounds too. Loved this one!

Welcome along music lovers it's time again for your weekly dose of happiness compliments of the Disco Waltons Sunday Service on NDC radio.
Tonight's Show is another all Scottish affair, first up & making his return to hosting the show is Ewan Mack, playing us some aural delights, bringing us some disco, soul, funk, and house grooves in the 1st hr not to be missed.
On Guest duties hr2 this week we have Paul Watkins Dj and promoter. The man behind Bathgate's Bar51 day time clubbing events FiftyOne, this daytime event has went from strength to strength over the last few years and is one event we need to get to. 
Paul has played many top events recently the likes of Afroboogie, EH1 festival (VIP stage), The Get Down at Leith Arches and there were a few of us that were lucky enough to catch Paul playing at the Scottish House And Disco Festival at the beginning of the year. So was only right that we asked him to be our guest for tonight's show.
