Weaver of sound. Weaver of time. Fiona likes to play a rainbow of audio delight. (tech, acid, deep, latin, jazz, funk and swing). Raw and never afraid to take a risk, she is inspired by the sounds of the 90’s underground. 

Always funky, soulful and unplanned. She is focused on story, timing, pace and feel more than genre, always with great attention to detail. 

Born to the name Fiona Damme in Mielenhausen, a small village near Göttingen, Germany, it wasn’t until moving to Canada that Fiona Fossil was unearthed. This love affair started in 1996, and soon after she started to play out in Canada and the US. First just playing records and later adding a more live element by playing along with the saxophone.
